Known as the Hudson River Day Line and the Golden Age of Steamboat Travel. The company stressed "passengers only" and so it became known as an elegant and leisurely scenic way to travel. The side paddle housing has the painted name "Chas. Carroll" which is probably the passenger ship's name. We have not found a signature on this
