Slightly fragrant, double, mauve pink flowers that appear with the leaves and bloom abundantly in early spring. Prunus x blireana is a cross between the Japanese apricot (Prunus mume) and the Purple leaved plum (Prunus cerasifera Pissardii). It is sterile, therefore does not produce fruit.
